3 Research Notes from Annamae Chandler. Summary of what I found about Elizabeth. In Green County, KY, she is listed as the wife of Horatio Chandler, son of John and Elizabeth. His father, Rev. John, was born 1755, died 1843. They had 7 children. He owned 240 acres, was not in KY in 1795-6 (visiting relatives), was there and Clerk of Baptist Assoc., a Pastor of Good Hope Baptist Church about 50 years to about 1826. His will names slaves. Somewhere people said his son, Horatio, succeeded him as Pastor but wasn't half the Christian that his father was.
CHILDREN:
Sally, married, Phillip Crowder;
Horatio who married, Elizabeth Bottoms, first, and Connie Thompson, second.,
Catherine unmarried;
Betsey md Abner Bottoms, 28 Nov. 1808 or 10 Mar 1810,
Lucinda, md Samuel Wright,
Darley md Elijah Sanders. and
Frances md Gerard Faucet (comes from French, Fa>> Maupin).

Horatio had 19 children:
From Elizabeth Bottom:
John Bottom Chandler, 1801 (had William F, John Harrison, and 3 girls:
Polly, md Wyat Shipp,
Nancy,
Joel Noel md Nancy Crowder,
Milton (#1), and Milton (#2) born 1812 and 1816 both died at birth;
Louisa Ann, md Henry Browne,
Gabriel Madison, died at birth.
From Connie Thompson.
Joseph Harrison, born 1826,
Dr.Samuel Thompson Chandler,
Francis M.,
Robert b.
Mary Elizabeth,
William M.A.,
James Ed,
Lucy Ellen,
Empatha.

Joseph H is a good choice to find descendants: William, A, Samuel, Frank B., John J. 1849-1881, Anne Lee, Mary B., Lillian, and John H. 1873.
Also Dr. Sam T. must have been bright: had, Dr. James B., Dr. W. T. 1852, Robert Delores, Lois Emma, Sam F., Morgan J. 1864. By the names given the children there were sons named after Civil War generals and heroes.
As to unltimate connection: We think this revered, Rev. John Chandler, came from the Halifax William Chandler, but have not found out how. A John Chandler said he spent 9 years in Russell County, 9 years in Halifax, and 9 years in KY, might be this one. Really try to find a living descendant with the Chandler surname who will give DNA and help us solve this puzzle. I (Jim Light) met Annamae at the Chandler Family Reunion in Memphis in September 2006. She is clearly a very accomplished genealogist, and I generally believe her findings, although I'm going to have to redo some of her research in order to get the sources certified.
