Greenville, South Carolina

September 9-10, 2016

The CFA’s 2016 Annual Meeting was Friday and Saturday, September 9 and 10, in Greenville, South Carolina. Greenville pops up often when researching Chandler genealogy. The city served as a crossroads and stopover for Chandlers heading from points north, such as Virginia, to points south and west such as Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas.

Friday was reserved for research and sharing. On Friday evening there was a buffet dinner at the hotel, followed by a slide show of photos, organized by Kirk Chandler, from the 2016 CFA UK Tour. Saturday’s schedule included our annual business meeting at 10 a.m., plus more research and sharing. The CFA Library was available both days. A silent auction raised money for CFA projects.

At right and below are more photos of faces and scenes from the 2016 annual meeting. Carol Halbert contributed some of the photographs. The photos below are in three groups: Research and Sharing in the Meeting Room, Dinner and the UK Tour Slide Show, and Business Meeting.
